Message from the CEO

Welcome to Public Performance Partners.  My public service career has made me a great believer in the possibilities of lean and agile public management.  Suffice to say, the state’s next biennial budget will make great believers out of all of us.  I have managed change in public entities through many challenging budget cycles through focusing on performance management, driving best-practices in public procurement and improving the value proposition of public IT investments.

This experience, along with the recognition that leaders at all levels of Ohio’s governments want agile and efficient operations, made it evident that an affordable solution was needed for local governments, colleges, universities and K-12 school systems.  Having managed a large county’s finances for thirteen years, I am aware of the budgetary challenges that our local governments must work within each day.  Tax dollars are scarce and must be spent on critical services.  I’ve been there and I know how difficult it can be to find the funds to hire the experts, do the studies and re-engineer processes and procedures that have been in place sometimes for decades.  I created Public Performance Partners to offer Ohio’s public entities private sector best practices without the private sector price tag.

Our business will be focused on operational and practical support to get you over the hill that lies between concept and reality.  When I go out and talk to public servants around the state, I explain that we can all visit the same public policy websites and download the case studies and best practice white papers about public management in the 21st century.  At the end of the day we’re still faced with finding the resources to make it happen.  Public Performance Partners will put boots on the ground to work alongside you the entire way from concept to outcomes.  In the end you are one of our “Partners.”  We will measure our success in your savings.
